Pay No Rake
Pay No Rake is a new online Poker Room that – as the name suggests – offers their players a daily Rakeback. New players start off at 50% Rakeback and can earn up to 100% Rakeback the more they play! Your progress and bonuses can be checked at any time, using your own ‘Rake-O-Meter’, which appears in the top left of your playing pane. The Rakebacks are also calculated and deposited back to you daily – yes, every day – and can amount to serious cash for the serious player. This is a groundbreaking, novel and very valuable gift for serious Poker players. I wonder how long it will be before other online Poker Rooms have to succumb to the inevitable pressure and follow Pay No Rake’s pioneering lead?

bwin Poker This is another of my favourite online Poker Rooms, and I spend far too much time here! I tend to hit bwin poker when I’ve got my ‘serious’ Poker-Head on (daily), because the graphics, the game interface – and the game play has a really nice, dark and moody feel. It’s a little like playing Poker on a film set that’s been staged by Ridley Scott. The games take place in an atmospheric Penthouse room, and you join the table as one of the highly detailed, photo-realistic players. The pace of the game is just about right; not too fast or slow, and for novices, there’s a handy subtitle that appears under the flop, which constantly tells you what hand you’ve got and how you're progressing.

Lucky Ace Poker Lucky Ace Poker is actually a very refreshing Poker Site, and a rewarding player experience. The reason I say that, is because even though they're a relatively new player in the market (launched late 2007), Lucky Ace Poker has established itself with a great reputation in a very short time – and actually feels like an old-school casino, which is great. In short, although Lucky Ace Poker can’t claim the heritage of some of its rivals, it can still lay claim to much better software and graphics that many of its more established competitors. They also offer a nice twist on some creative promotions, including a ‘Pokerbility’ Poker pot odds calculator, available for anyone making a cash deposit. It’s a small but very telling detail, that they’re happy to enhance the Poker play by giving such a useful tool. But more of that later... first of all...

Virgin Poker Surprisingly, even though Virgin is dominant in virtually every market sector imaginable, they seem to have taken their time to get to the lucrative online gambling market. Virgin Poker is therefore one of the 'newer' online Poker Rooms, having only been established in 2004. As you’d expect from the mighty Virgin brand though, it has invested heavily and thoroughly, and has now come up with an extremely slick and playable product. In my opinion, this is one of the superior Poker sites out there. As they have such a heavyweight brand, they also offer some unique bonuses that you simply won’t find anywhere else...

Full Tilt Poker One of the most trusted, specialized, market-leading and coolest online Poker brands out there, must surely be Full Tilt Poker: They don’t do Casino, Bingo, or any other games. If you’re serious about Poker, this site should definitely feature near the top of your list. Launched in 2004, Full Tilt Poker is easily one of the biggest online poker sites. Full Tilt Poker also places massive emphasis on sponsorship and is the home of Poker Legends such as: Chris Ferguson, Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Gus Hansen, Allen Cunningham, Mike Matusow and Andy Bloch. The site’s catchphrase is ‘Learn, chat and play with the pros’, and they this they do with aplomb.
